What happens to the styling in ASS/SSA files?
SRT does not support advanced styling, so fonts, colors, positioning and effects are removed. The timing and the subtitle text are preserved.
Will the subtitles stay in the right order?
Yes. Dialogue lines are sorted by their start time and renumbered, so the output is a clean, correctly ordered SRT file.
Are comments and karaoke effects handled?
Comment lines are ignored, and override tags such as karaoke timing are stripped, leaving only the readable subtitle text.
